Michael Lopez is a San Jose based songwriter who will be releasing his first vinyl recording in October called “Dial M for Michael”. He plays on both an acoustic guitar and an ESP Flying V and incorporates piano, drums, and strings in his music.

His favorite styles of music include classic rock, indie, alternative, and metal. Musical inspirations come from artists such as Radiohead, System of a Down, Mars Volta, and Pink Floyd. 

Michael currently enjoys performing his original works at open mics in Bay Area venues including Hotel Utah, Starbright Theatre, Britannia Arms, Zahir Bistro, Nirvana Soul, and local conventions such as Fanimecon. He looks forward to collaborating with more musicians in the near future.

Aside from working on his second album, Michael works at a local high school supporting students in special education. Hobbies include painting, writing stories, watching horror, sci-fi, and animated movies, singing karaoke, involvement with the Godzilla community, and relaxing at home with his dog Luna.
